Brown lentils with cucumber salad and sprinkle of flex seeds.

Today is November 8, 2022. The weather is a little colder today but very nice and sunny. we went out for voting early in the morning. nice to vote for Midterm elections in Connecticut. There are hardly any leaves left on the grass. My embroidery project is going well. I hope I will be able to finish it soon. we trimmed some plants and I hope they are ready for the coming winter. it’s getting windy outside and very colder day by day. I will go into my backyard and check what’s going on with my plants outside., I think it’s coming cold front. I decided to make vegetarian yesterday. It’s organic brown lentils. I will right ingredients how to cook it and serve it.

Ingredients

2cups of brown lentils.

Half a cup of chopped onions.

1 tablespoon of minced garlic.

1table spoon of minced ginger.

1 cup of pureed tomatoes.

Half a tablespoon of salt.

A teaspoon of Indian garam masala powder.

Recipe

Take a pot and add 2 tablespoons of clarified butter, then add garlic and ginger paste, and minced onions. cook them for 5 minutes and then add salt and Indian garam masala powder, then add tomato puree and cook it for 6 more minutes. then add 4 cups of water and lentils in it, then steam it in a pressure cooker for 10 minutes. cut cucumber slices and give a squeeze of lemon and sprinkle of salt. Then chop some red onions and put them on the side. then take a platter and put cooked lentils and garnish it with cucumber slices and chopped onions. it looks good vegetarian platter.

Lentils are good sources of Protein, minerals, and vitamins. it can lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose levels. good source of fiber, iron, and folate, selenium. it’s a good diet for vegetarians when they want to be on a high-fiber and protein diet. good to lose weight.

cucumbers contain antioxidants that are good for fighting diseases and good for losing weight.

Flex seeds are a good source of omega threes good for heart and brain health.
