Caraway seeds

Today is August 20. As usual I took bath and did my meditation and came down and made organic breakfast and a cup of tea and then After eating breakfast went outside to sit in sunny weather because I felt cold because weather is changing and becoming much colder. Then decided to work on my next article on caraway seeds. We call it kala jeera. It is originated in Ancient Egypt, Euorpe and Asia. It is used in cooking as biennial herb worldwide. It has many medicinal uses. It belongs to parsley family. Holland is worlds largest caraway producer. Caraway seed has pungent aroma and sweet and tangy flavor. It belongs to family Umbelliferae. Scientific name of caraway is Carum carvi. The main compounds found in caraway seeds are carvacrol, carvone, a-pinene, limonene and other compounds like terpenoids found in its essential oil. Many nutrients found in caraway seeds are fiber, copper, iron, Mg and Mn. Some of the benefits of caraway seeds are

  • 1 teaspoon of ginger powder.

    
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder.

    
  • One fourth of teaspoon of salt.

    
  • 1 tablespoon of caraway seeds.

    
  • 1 cup of chopped organic tomatoes.

    
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil.

    
  • 2cups of water.

Take a pot and add 1 tablespoon of organic olive oil. Put it on the stove top and warm the olive oil then add ginger powder cook it until it is brown color then add turmeric powder and salt and tablespoon of caraway seeds in it. Roast them for2 minutes and add 2 cups of water in it. Boil it for 10 minutes and add chopped tomatoes and soup is ready to eat. Eat the soup with any store-bought organic bread.
